Coastal Atmosphere -Coast Road Westcoast

Westland is enjoying the most wonderful weather for July. This past week we have been painting up the Coast Road . There is a beauty in the drama of the beaches and wet sands. The winter sun giving long shadows gives drama to the subject. Paintings may be viewed on our web site at the end of July.

Lake Mahinapua Westland

Lake Mahinapua is one of Westland's most picturesque lakes. Painting there in the winter is a wonderful experience. Brent loves the colours that fall in the late afternoon sun.

Painting in South Westland

Westland is at its best in winter with wonderful clear skies and snow covers mountains.

Brent has enjoyed visiting South Westland recently and painting in the Glacier Valley region.

Winter Colours in Nelson and Kaiteriteri

We have recently returned from painting the winter colours in Nelson. The weather was cold but clear and the winter light was magnificent. The completed works will appear on the web site within the next month.

Painting at Kaiteriteri Beach Nelson Area

Late in April we enjoyed a weeks painting in the Nelson Area. While painting at Kaiteriteri Beach Brent had the pleasure of meeting many interesting people enjoying the beach in the lovely autumn weather. This painting will be completed and added to the Web site in about a weeks time.

Winter is almost here in Westland and its a wonderful time to paint in South Westland. We enjoyed painting at the beautiful Lake Ianthe recently.
